Why? I don't agree with what this young man did, but does the school have the right to expel him for what he has done? If he did this from home and from his personal computer, then what grounds does his school have to expel him? Please, comment & give me your point of view.

Pros and Cons of using social media in the classroom

With our last assignment, I found some interesting links to articles on using social media in the classroom. Clearly there are arguements on both sides of the fence on this issue. Hopefully, reading these articles will help you decide whether using these tools is right for you and your students. Happy reading!

Check out the Gadgets and Links

I've linked my wiki page to this blog. Please visit it! You will find learning activities that were created as assignments, but with the intention of using them with high school Spanish students of varying levels. You can find the wiki by following this link http://paolabell.wikispaces.com/ or the permanent link at the bottom of this page.

Don't forget to feed the fish in the tank below. By clicking you will leave food for them to eat.

Creating this Blog

Creating this blog was quite simple. The process of signing up for an account was easy since I already was registered with Google Reader. The hardest part for me was selecting a layout, pictures, and gadgets - basically I couldn't decide how my blog should look! Other than that, there were no challenges. The success came as I decided on certain things and saw that indeed the look of my page was improving.

I wish I had thought about creating a blog two years ago after my daughter's birth. This would have been a great way to inform people of the day-to-day dealings with a baby born with Short Bowel Syndrome.

Other ideas for blogs include personal interests such as baking, photography, travel, basketball and reading. All of these things I do with family members.
